About Us
Ludlow New Voices was set up by Ludlow Choral Society to celebrate its 150th anniversary season in 2008-2009. Eighty-three young people attended the first rehearsal on 4th June 2008.
Rehearsals are on Tuesdays in term time from 5.15 prompt to 6.45pm in the Main Hall of Ludlow Conference Centre, Lower Galdeford.
The choir is open to everyone aged 9 to 16. No special ability or previous experience is necessary and we are determined that everyone who wants to join is able to do so. The fees are very low at £1 a week or £10 per term if paid in advance. We’ll do our best to try and help overcome any transport difficulties that may arise.
The choir sings all kinds of music from around the world, old and new, sacred and secular, including musicals, popular music, folk songs and classical works.
Although it has its own Management Committee, Ludlow New Voices is part of Ludlow Choral Society, a registered charity. (opens in new window)
